How Search Engines Show You the Money.

Do Search Engines Drive Internet and Offline sales?

According to a recent article by Jason Miller, a reporter for
Web Pro News “MSN searchers were 48% more likely to buy online
than the average Internet user. His info was based on a report
from the month of June by comScore Networks, Inc. The report
also indicated that “Google users are 42% more likely” to buy
than the average Internet users.

On the flip side of this good news was the lackluster ecommerce
involvement of AOL users, who were only 3% more likely to make a
purchase than the average Internet user. This is significant to
know because search engine users have been traditional thought
of as better potential customers than other types of Internet
traffic. Search engine users are proactively looking for
information with specifically targeted search terms, and
therefore are considered by many marketers as target direct
response driven prospects.

How do I find a job if I don’t want to move?

12.02.10 / search marketing local / Author: admin / Comments: (6)

My company is downsizing in the US (i.e. moving everything to Aisa.) I work in a Marketing/Technical position right now but my degree is in IT. I’m employed until Dec. 31, 2006 and then it’s "see ya, wouldn’t wanna be ya." I’ve tried all of the online search engines for awhile now and check the local paper all of the time. I live in a small town in NC and there’s just not much out there. My wife and I just bought a new house here and are not ready to move. Anyone have any suggestions on how to find a job? That seems to be the only thing that college did NOT teach me.

Tough spot! I’ve been there, too, and survived just fine (without moving). You will too!

At least you have some advanced notice, so you can job hunt while you’re still employed. Employers prefer to hire someone who is already working. And, with your background and experience – IT plus marketing – you should have plenty of options. So, don’t let it get you down!

SEO and Marketing

There is a considerable sized body of practitioners of SEO who see search engines as just another

would come to the pages. They often see the white hat/black hat dichotomy mentioned above as a

Let’s see yours and make your case!
And please don’t just copy and paste recipes that you’ve searched for over the net. I want tried and true killer formula!

help me with cooking ingredients please?

02.02.10 / search marketing local / Author: admin / Comments: (7)

i’m new in the kitchen, specially in baking.. I want to make a pizza base. in the recipe, it says I need flour and yeast. I don’t know where to get yeast, i’ll search for it though.self raising flour is not available in my local market. so, can i substitute yeast with baking powder?

No. Pizza dough is a yeast-risen food. But it’s super-easy. Just don’t use too hot of water on the yeast (or you’ll kill it) and you’ll be pleased w/ the results.

You can buy packets of yeast on the flour aisle, usually very near the flour in boxes. Look for red, blue, and yellow packets of Fleischmann’s or red and blue called Red Star. They come in 3-packs.

How to pursue modeling?

01.02.10 / search marketing local / Author: admin / Comments: (3)

I’ve been told that websites & modeling competitions/searches are scams.

Local agencies are not going to get me to New York.

I don’t live in a place where I could get noticed at a beauty pagnet or in a mall.

I don’t like waiting for agencies who get hundreds of pics a day to respond (I don’t know if they even get around to or open my pics)

A Whole Roast Pig?

29.01.10 / search marketing local / Author: admin / Comments: (2)

Ok so I tried to roast a pig and it turned out great. Of course I had to do a lot of searching but it was well worth it. I found a Website by the name of SPITJACK.COM and the guy there Bruce was a great help, he has everything needed to roast that pig up. So if you are planning roast a pig go to Spitjack. I found my pig at a local meat market put in a order and get it a week later all cleaned out. I highly recommend seasoning up the pig at least two days before, a lot of people sew the belly and stuff it not us. I gather all my favorite seasonings and added fresh herbs to teh blender with olive oil, vingear, water and lots of lemon/lime juice and made a large bowl of Mojo (a Wet seasoning) and made holes in teh pig and poured that right in a bag and let it sit for two days the day of cooking it I stuff hald fresh garlic cloves in the wholes and we were good to go. Hope this helped.

wow, sounds great! how come I wasn’t invited??!!lol

thanks for the info, we are building a BBQ pit and one of the rotissieries would be fantastic, every thing availible locally is way too small

What is the best way to get funding for my small business expansion?

27.01.10 / search marketing local / Author: admin / Comments: (2)

I have been operating a small business out of my home for the past two years selling live koi and pond supplies. Business has been good and I love the tax deduction. But I am out growing my backyard and I have set up a deal with a local nursery to sub lease me 3500 sq ft of land for $1500 a month….not too shabby. But now I need the funding. Setting up tanks and filters will cost apx $20,000, not including labor. Then I need to build some sort of shade structure, another $10K, buy more inventory, $10K to $15K, and launch a marketing campaign. So I figure I need at least $50K just to get started. I have a credit line available to me for at least 40K, but I don’t want to use it as it has a high rate. Should I get an SBA? Those are such a pain. Search for an investor? and even bigger pain. I am working on my business plan as we speak. Just wondering what the best way to go is.

Any ideas?

Go to your local bank. Most banks loan money to existing businesses with just the business and personal guaranty. It is usually a percent of sales that they would lend to. The SBA would only need to be done if the bank does not think that your personal credit or business credit is good enough. The SBA does not loan money. They only guaranty the bank that a portion of the loan is guarantied by the government. Go to Bankofamerica.com under small business and apply for a business loan.

What type of store could I get THROWING KNIVES at? Read please.?

22.01.10 / search marketing local / Author: admin / Comments: (2)

Were could I get throwing knives at. I’ve searched the local flea market without luck. I’ve called a few cutlery stores, and some hunting and army stores. None have throwing knives! Is there a certain store in the mall like ‘Hot Topic’, or ‘Spencers’ or whatever that would sell throwing knives?

If you have ever seen a store with ninja swords, katanas, samurai swords, throwing stars, buterfly knives, they would have the throwing knives I am looking for. I do know that some gas stations on the outskirts of the town like 15 miles away from my home might sell some.

Internet Marketing Search Engine

22.01.10 / search marketing local / Author: admin / Comments: (3)

There are hundreds of thousands of jobless individuals who want to get out of their current situation but are unable to do so. Before they entered the world of unemployment, they were not worrying about their expenditures. They expected monthly salaries that they can use to pay for their expenditures. Aside from their regular monthly salaries, they are also entitled to several benefits such as health care, group accident insurance, financial incentives, holiday bonuses, and others. Thus, their life during their employment years is just like living in a world of security in terms of convenient living.

But the world that they are now into is different compared as to when they are still employed. After losing their respective jobs (due to streamlining of their employee ranks or the company is experiencing financial difficulties), they have been stripped of their monthly salaries and additional benefits. Their basic needs are just provided given the availability of sufficient funds. Medical and educational necessities of their children are now beyond their reach simply because they cannot afford it. They lose all of their credit cards because they have no money to pay for its interest.

Kansas internet marketing?

21.01.10 / search marketing local / Author: admin / Comments: (5)

I’m looking for an internet marketing company with websites for local communitys in KS like Manhattan, Lawrence, Topeka, and Kansas City. I’m not having much luck with searching around, I want to find a company that controls multiple websites with traffic for the cities I mentioned.

Hi,

If your Web site have lots of pictures, but hardly any text (also called content or information). the search engines ignore graphics. They use software robots called spiders that spider your Web site (crawl through the text). Because you have very little content, the spiders will not find your Web site very tasty and will virtually ignore it.
