How to pursue modeling?

I’ve been told that websites & modeling competitions/searches are scams.

Local agencies are not going to get me to New York.

I don’t live in a place where I could get noticed at a beauty pagnet or in a mall.

I don’t like waiting for agencies who get hundreds of pics a day to respond (I don’t know if they even get around to or open my pics)

Are going to open calls in NY the best bet

Or seeking a mother contract with an agency in a nearby city that has gotten models to NY-and in international markets?

wats up my name is presley and im 14 and im a model.i went to barbizon after they heard i wanted to be a model/actress so they contacted me. all you have to do is go to www.barbizonmodeling.com and contact them they will contact you and want you to audition. then u audition nad they call you the next day for your results. if you made it theyll discuss the payment which isnt alot.then theyll tell you your class dates if you dont already know how to model then you tell them at the audition you do and theyll set you up with an agent but be honest bcuz they have things on the sheet youll have to fill out saying the things you have to do while you walk like a europian turn, half turn. hole turn,h-turn,double half turn. so dont lie on anything becuase if you do you definately will not get picked.so if you do youll take the classes if neede. then theyll send you a bunch of cool stuff like a tote bag.make-up kit,models guide book,and flyers telling you when your class mates you will be attending any competions together and of course you travel with your parents they are in everything with you. then if you do the comps. then u compete for prizes, money, scholorships. and then u will eventually get to compete for barbizons imta scholorship to get to go to either l.a or n.y.c. and theyll explain more about that. then at the end or your 6 month classes you graduate and walk in a resl fashion show held by barbizon.it SOOOO much fun i enjoyed it alot. then when you grad. a couple weeks after you get your barbizon certificate stating you passed your classes.then your placement package for the imta audition. and u audition for the producers of imta. and a day later theyll call you for your results. and if you made it theyll make an appt. for you to meet with them and discuss your payment. and the thingd youll be doing for 1 week if your going to l.a or.n.y.c and if any family members want to go they have to pay aswell. so GOOD LUCK . and if you have anymore ”?” e-mail me at jesse_mc222000@yahoo.com
