I know a few people who have jobs with the Pirates. The one guy I know well got his media relations position because of many factors. He went to spring training every year during college and did some networking. He interned every summer at a minor league team. He then got a job with a minor league team. From there he was able to use his networking to get his job with the Pirates. It's all about experience and networking!

Also, Dick's Website is great for looking up open positions there. You can look up by location and type of job. I would stay away from GNC only because it's been really unstable for the past few years. The only thing they've been consistantly looking for that is remotely related to marketing is a copywriter.
